Beware of PC World pricecs on a Wednesday!
We went to above mentioned store yesterday found a computer desk we liked, but unsure as to whether it would fit in our small corner, we decided to go home and double check.
Desk would be a perfect fit so off we trot today, to our horror it had increased in price by £20.00 overnight:eek: .
Checked with assistant - oh yes madam prices do increase, so sorry but nothing we can do about it.
Decided to try the young man on checkout who looked up yesterdays price and yes it was £20.00 cheaper. He informed us that on a Wednesday price increases come through from head office, but he thought it was rather a large increase overnight and very kindly gave it us a yesterdays price :T
So three cheers for the young man on the checkout.
Strange thing was no-one had a valid reason for the overnight increase, it wasn't new stock in that day or had been upgraded - apparently it was just what head office did
The moral of this tale: Shop on Tuesdays!! And question the price, if you don't get the desired reply - try another assistant!
