Quick Quid - Can I cancel my account?
Hi everyone.
Last year I had a payday loan via quick quid.co.uk.
I now owe them nothing, and to stop being tempted in the future, I rang them to cancel and close my account. They refused to do this as "the law states that from the date of opening the account, they must keep all details of me on their system for 5 years"
Is this true?
Thanks in advance,
Biffy

they mat have to keep your details but if that is the case say that they can keep the details but to stop sending you emails texts etc.0

Ask them to blacklist you, this means that if you apply again then the computer will say no.0

They can't close the account as such but as Dougyd has posted, they have to show they are a responsible lender by blocking you for future applications.
All my other payday loan lenders agreed to block me when i cleared the balances.0
