I need a washing machine, soooo much choice

I am in desperate need of a washing machine, i dont know where to start.:(
Where is the best place for reviews or comparions, i didnt realise there was so much choice out there.

Had a trip to comet this morning a they had a deal on Hotpoint WMD 740, came home to do a review but couldnt find anything on this machine, not even on hotpoint web site.

If you can afford one, a Miele is the rolls royce of washing machines and should last you 20 years. They're not cheap but they're built to last, most of the other brands are not. We bought one recently when ours packed up, and I'm so glad we did, it's brilliant, and we got a ten year guarantee.

If not, Bosch washing machines are meant to be good.

    too many comps..not enough time!
  • Thanks for that advise, much appreciated. Didnt think looking for a washing maching was going to be such hard work .

If you google "hotpoint wmd 740 reviews" there are quite a few reviews.
I like ciao and review centre.com

Hotpoints are rebadged Indesits these days, if you can't run to a Miele then Bosch/Siemens make reliable machines.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

avoid hotpoint, bought all new appliances for a new kitchen and had to have 2 new washers and dishwashers in the first year all replaced under warranty. The second year the washer sheered bolts and customer service wouldnt help, had to pay for a repair. The dishwasher then went again and as it was out of warranty cut our losses and went with a Siemens, excellent product no problems what so ever. Wouldnt buy hotpoint again.
  • Thank you all very much for all your help and advice, much appreciated.
  • miele for me aswell quite expensive but cheaper long term!!

I have a Bosch. I've had it over ten years and it's still going strong but if it ever packs up my next one will be a Miele. :)
