i very stupidly went on to a site that was charging £1.99 to see if i was entitled to a goverment grant which i pid. i then recieved a bank statement showing that the day after they took the £1.99 they took another £37.39 which i hadn't authorised. i contacted the bank who told me that there had been a reoccuring payment set up from my account by a company calling themselves the grant offer. my bank has cancelled these payments but that actually takes 31 days to come into affect??? i have googled the grant offer and can't find anything on the net about it! obviously this is an internet scam but does anyone have any advice to whether or not i can get back the £37.39 and if they take anymore within the 31 days can i get that back?
feeling very stupid for doing it!!!!
