Self-employed, office residence claim?

in Cutting tax
I'm doing my own taxes this year and have noticed that in previous 4 years my accountant claimed £520 a year for me using my home as my office. This works out to £10 a week.
I don't have a dedicated office - I swing between the PC and printer in the living and my laptop and books in my hobby room/spare room. I'm self-employed and working anything from 30 hours to 60 hours a week.
I have a couple of questions:
A) Was £10 a week about right for him to be claiming?
Is it still ok for me to use this £10 a week or should it be increased as the utilities have increased over the last 4 years?
How is it worked out?
