Oxford Chip Shops Catering for evening reception

Hi there, does anyone know a good chip shop in or around Oxford City Centre that could possibly cater for 100+ portions of fish and chips for an evening wedding reception in the middle of Oxford?

I was down in Oxford over the weekend and saw Posh Fish out in Jericho and will be trying there, but if anybody else knows of anywhere with similar experience in this unusual request, it would be very much appreciated

Can't speak for Oxford, but we organised a fish and chip do for around 80 people a couple of years ago.

I rang round about 20 from the phone book to ask if they would be willing to do such a large order and costings per portion. 8 said they would. One night all of us organising the do visited those 8 takeaways and bought 1 cod and chips. Took them all back to one house and did a taste test comparing them all. Came to a decision based on flavour and quoted price.

Paid about £3.50 per portion for really lovely cod and chips - after I did some buttering up telling the owner what we'd done regarding the taste test and how he only just won, but the next nicest flavour was cheaper...got the price down a bit more!

we're doing a curry night in a couple of months - let the fun begin again!
