Operating 2 Paypal Accounts

Can anyone give me some Paypal advice, I am probably being thick.

I have a personal account linked to a credit card for paying for my ebay purchases and any ebay sales I withdraw to my Bank account.

I have recently set up my own business and will soon launch a website which I want to offer the ability to purchase online and would look to use paypal for that.

Will paypal allow me to have 2 accounts with different bank accounts linked so that I can keep my business and personal transactions apart? Do I just add on the business email to the account I have ?

I have spent the past 2 hours trawling through the paypal website and am too confused for words, HELP :think:

Hi there,

Under the PayPal rules you are allowed 1 business account and 1 personal account. I have these and have not had any problems. I also read this on the PayPal website and if you need would be happy to dig out the link.

One way round this is to use one Paypal account, but to register two different email addresses to receive payments. In your account you can then filter between the two email addresses. My Paypal account has about 4-5 email addresses that receive funds, mostly because my preferred email address has changed over the years rather than because I am trying to separate out incomes.

I have two paypal account for two ebay acconts, not bussined though. You need to keep them separate , different user name and email. Not sure about other method.

I have one personal paypal account and one business paypal account. I have done since 2007 with no issues.

You are actually only allowed one of each time of paypal account, technically if they realise you have 2 identical accounts they will close them.

My business paypal account takes payments in from several ebay accounts, you can link up to 8 email addresses (and therefore 8 ebay accounts) to one paypal account.

Thanks all for your advice. I think I will be going for two separate accounts. My personal one I will use for ebay because I only buy and sell my own stuff not my business goods. The business one I need just to recieve payments from my customers.
