Rooftop borrowers offered golden goodbyes
Any body come across this?Rooftop Mortgages has become the latest sub-prime lender to offer clients large discounts to help them remortgage with another lender.
Although I have accepted the offer to redeem my mortgage, rooftop has set a date (31st January 10) to close the account. Unfortunately I'm unable to meet this as I'm selling my flat and the only buyer I had decided to pull out in the last minute!! Has anyone managed to extend the offer from rooftop or any other lender offering discounts to redeem mortgages? I did approach them today and explained the situation, but they are refusing to give me an answer as to why they can't enxtent the offer with out a firm offer / a completion date...
I'm trying to understand why they would not extend the offer till I get the sell completed as they are keen to close the account? Any ideas suggestions would be fab!!!
