P60 question

I can't find my P60 and need it for my self assessment form. My employer is charging £25 for a P60 duplicate (which I'd rather not pay).

I have my payslip for Mar 2009 which has culmulative totals for the year.

The taxable pay is obvious. But the HMRC website is asking for "tax taken off UK pay". Is this just the "tax" entry or should I add "National Insurance" to this?

thanks to anyone who can help out here.

Just the tax figure, this is usually next to gross pay do not include NI.
The only thing that is constant is change.
  • Using your month 12 payslip is fine but they do not usually include your employers PAYE reference number on them so you have have to ask for that. Also be careful if you changed jobs during the year as the gross pay and tax details are usually for all of your jobs not just your current one.
