Evening everyone, I have a outstanding debt of £215 with cabot (egg sold it on), however a family member has offered me £100 to help with debts. Shall i offer this to cabot as full and final settlement? Anyone had any luck settling debts with them?

Ive found cabot to be notorious at being un-moved. They send you all sorts of threats that they can't enforce, and are ignorant with it too. I would send them a template letter offering them 25% take it or leave it. The total amount isn't that high, so they are not going to chase you to the ends of the earth!. Also send for a CCA first!.0

Hi Em. Cabot will entertain full and final settlements, however I am not sure if that would extend to 50% I dont want to give you false hope but you may be surprised. It is definitely worth talking to them if you are in a position to settle the debt.
