Deep kingsize matress protector?

Options
Hiya,

Has anyone got any ideas as to where I could get a deep KS matress protector?

I have a memory foam matress and the whole thing means normal ones spring off the end

  • I know it's not a protector, but we have a deep mattress and just bought a fleecy under blanket from Wilkinson's and it fits OK, so it might be worth having a look there. If you're careful you could open enough of the pack to see how deep the seems are down the edge of it.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

Got the same problem! M&S now do deep fitted sheets but the mattress protector still manages to slip off :(.
  • You probably shouldn't have a thick mattress cover on it as it defeats the purpose of the memory foam?
We have a deep sprung mattress with 2" of memory foam either side. We got one that encased the entire mattress (like a pillow case?) from Dunelm Mill. I can't see it on their site now though.
    The IVF worked;DS born 2006.
  • Deep kingsize mattress protector - We recently bought a new mattress and had the same problem, we have just bought some new kingsize fitted sheets from Dreams bed shop - they sell sheets and mattress protectors with an extra deep 18" edge, our mattress is 11" deep and these sheets fit it perfectly and they are still tucked under in the morning.
    Hope this helps

DON'T use a deep mattress protector with memory foam, as memory foam needs your body heat to react with it, and a mattress protector that is too deep will stop the memory foam working properly.

What do you mean by "normal ones spring off the end"?

Ah! deep in this case refers to the part of the protector that goes over the top and bottom edges of the mattress - and as you move in bed it slips off the end.
Agreed that memory foam needs to be able to detect your body location by heat, so best to have no significant thickness of 'underlay' :D

In that case there are loads of places that sell them. In fact anywhere who sells deep mattresses should sell them.

Thanks guys. Im finding it difficult. Sorry meant to say deep as in depth of mattress rather than the depth of the protector if that makes sense.

I will try very and dreams. I got the bed from dreams so hopefully they may have something.

    Thanks everyone
