Hi All
My partner recently placed an order on an american website for some CDs, tshirts etc. These were apparently shipped on 6th Jan 2010 by USPS priority international shipping and he was charged $47.25 for this. The parcel was on a 3-6 day shipping service but he still hasn't received it. The website are saying sorry it's not their problem and it wasn't sent with a tracking number and that we should check with our post office.
Does anyone know where we stand with this? I did some research on the USPS website and if it was sent internationally using a regular or large mailing box it has tracking on it (only the small ones don't but due to the volume of items bought I doubt it would be this option, it also only costs $13)
Help!!
Thanks
Jo

It may have been held up in customs. The import limit for such items is only £18 so it may have been held awaiting a billing decision. Its also not unknown for items to get 'lost' in the postal service and take longer than the scheduled time. I recently had an ebay package to the US take nearly two months to arrive.
International postage seems a bit of a potential minefield unless you pay extra for tracking, which probably removes the initial saving.
I'd sit tight for a bit longer.0
