Unsure on PPI Taken
My Parents took out a loan about two years ago. They took the insurance out with the loan. They went to use the insurance due to them having to give up Fostering. The Loan company said that they were not eligable due to being foster parents is not a job.
How can they get around this? How dome the loan company accepted them nowing they didn't have a "job".
Can any one advise?
Thanks

There is a possiblity that they were not eligible for the sale on insurance in the first place - most policies require that you are in employment and paying correct class of national insurance contributions
i'd get them to put a complaint in writing here - unless this has already been investigated since their application for a claim??0 -
i would get it looked into
when i took a loan with lloyds tsb i told them i was leaving the country so didnt need th PPI
unbeknown to me (me being stupid) it was added on
when making the settlement to the loan i tried to argue my case but lost cos i couldnt prove i had told the advisor person i was leaving the country
worst was i had been out of a job and could have claimed if i had known it was on my loan0 -
