in Cutting tax
Hi everyone,
I would like to know my situation for being liable for tax and vat in the UK.
I have been living in Thailand permanently with a Thai limited company for 6 years so i am a non-resident in the UK, my business is selling goods on ebay and i use my UK ebay accounts, UK paypal accounts and UK bank accounts to receive all payments and all are registered in UK addresses, so am i exempt or liable for any tax in the UK using this method.
PS: its not an option to use Thai ebay accounts for my business because 1: its too difficult to sell on them and 2: they get suspended easily by ebay.
Thanks,
ukfarang

As a non Uk resident you are not liable to UK tax on your worldwide income.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

As you are not resident you are not liable for UK income tax.
If you sell more than £70k of stuff a year to the UK you should be charging VAT. Similar rules may apply to any other EU countries you sell to.0
