Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I've got an old auto-pump spin dryer that's probably about 30 years old. It was a godsend when my washing machine broke a few months ago.
I've got a new washer now, so don't actually need it, but I won't part with it in case I need it again at some point. It spins really well and I'd even go as far as saying that my new 1400 spin washer doesn't do quite as good a job at extracting the water.

I think my spin dryer needs a good service though, because although you can hear the pump going, it does seem to take a while for any water to start tricklling out and I've found that I do need to move the hose about a bit in order to get it coming through.
You can't beat the old, good quality manufacturing with anything that's available today, so I will get mine serviced at some point and then it may well be around for another 20 years:)

Ooooh, look what I found on Ebay:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/hotpoint-supermatic-plus-9404-twin-tub-washer-/170562810343?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Kitchen_Washing_Machines_Dryers&hash=item27b655f1e7

Luckily for my OH it's at the other end of the country otherwise I'd be tempted to bid. :D
