I love Clarins Beauty Flash Balm but I've run out and being a bit on the skint side after xmas I can't afford to buy another tube at the moment
Does anyone know of any cheaper alternatives that do the same job?

I love BFB too but have no money for it! (I rely on samples) have you tried Vanishing cream from Lush? its also a good cream and they quite often will give samples if your already buying something.0

Hi Jennie. I don't live near any Lush stores so I've not tried any of their stuff. Do they do mail order?0

Popped into Boots on the way home to get a tube of this. £2 off at the moment and the advantage card machine gave me a £1 off voucher as well, so only £3.84 :T0 -

HI, Superdrug also do a good one in their natural high range, which is often on special offer. It is called radiance balm. I am not sure that it is as good as the boots one recommended above, but it is good.0

Yes they do, infact they have a skin care offer on at the moment with many a MSE fan talking about it on the grab-it boards. The web address is http://www.lush.co.uk/ and the forum people are talking about it is on: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2188789&highlight=lush (last page for current discussion!)
They have a few creams but I found Vanishing cream the best because its still quite light but gives that slight dewy sheen that BFB does. The other Lush creams I found too heavy and clogged my pores- but each to their own, others have really good stories to tell from the other creams too.
Hope you find a good replacement- its so hard when you fall in love with an out of price range cream isn't it! I love Nuxe creams but they are a similar price to Clarins.
Kiehl's Ultra moisturiser is another good one, its fairly pricey though but has no mineral oils and other skin problem causing stuff. I found it stung my skin as I have hyper sensitive skin, but it may work for others, my skin never went red or became inflamed but I stopped using it (took it back, exchanged for something else) but if you can get hold of a sample via a cosmetics counter (not sure if anywhere near you stocks Kiehl's) they have good sized samples, about 2 or 3 days worth. If you like it, its around £15 for a 50ml pot. Its the cheapest they do and also is very light but yet moisturises dry skin well. If it hadn't made my skin sting I'd probably still be using it now. (Its not normal for it to make skin sting btw! v.rare!!)0 -
As salesaddict mentioned the superdrug balm is very good. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
