Heated curlers for fine hair?

I have very fine, collar length hair, and it's a bit sparse. Not quite Hamlet's Baldy Man, but getting there!
I'd like to use heated rollers to get a bit of volume, but the last I used were my mum's, and were at least 30 years old.

Any advice on new heated curlers? I'm confused as to all the different types available.

I'd agree with the above poster- although apparently there are guides on youtube on how to use heated rollers, but whenever I roll them into my hair, they just become entangled once I try to remove them- curly hair? I'd say more like frizzy lions mane!

I'd suggest something like the babylis conical wand (sp?) which is around £25, think there are other types around, not tried it myself but it does have good reviews, babylis are normally a reputable manufacturer and I have tried another (unknown) brand of conical wand (the price was stupid though so I wont mention it). It looks like it'd take longer to curl hair but actually it doesn't as its pretty fast and your only twirling the hair around the wand once rather then curling it around a roller once and then un twisting it once its "done".

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for the advice, ladies. I will see about the babylis (non-confusing ) equipment.

I wish hats were fashionable again..................
