Hi,
Popped into the NEWCASTLE Merocentre Matalan Clearance Store (along from Toysrus) yesterday and most things were only £1 (ladies trousers, skirts knitwear, formal jackets some shorts) There are plenty of bargins to be had, shoppers walking round with trolly loads including me, i'm off there again this morning. Well worth a visit if you want a bargin or want to get a pile of clothes for your summer hols. This store closes around 5ish so don't go too late.Don't miss out.

Changed the plans I had for today and went there after seeing this thread . My OH got nothing, my youngest got a pair of trousers and all I got was a handbag My eldest daughter however got a load of stuff so she is one happy girl (so a big thanks from her vic_tony!)

The £1 items don't actually have £1 labels on but most of it is on rails that have £1 on a big red board above it. Remember that the £1 stuff is JUST ladies skirts, trousers, knitwear & formal jackets - not all ladies tops/nightwear etc and not mens or kids. I'm saying that because there were bits and pieces of mens and kids clothes and ladies clothes not included in the £1 deals on the same rails, but it is just stuff that has been dumped by other shoppers.

They have baskets as you go in that are full of seperate bikini tops and bottoms and they are 5 items for £1. OK as long as you can find a set......or just buy the bottoms if you're planning on going topless on your hols

All other stock is 75% off the original selling price and my daughter's favourite things were a pair of suede boots that were £30 but she got for £7.50 and a crop denim jacket for £3.75 (she wants to wear them now even though the sun is shining and the temp is in the high 20's :eek:)

Possibly too far to travel but there is one in WOLVERHAMPTON (opposite AMF Bowling).

Just been today and nearly everything is now reduced to a pound including mens/womens suits, trousers, knitwear, skirts, shirts etc Everything else 75% off.

Ten items for a tenner was not bad at all!
