Not sure if this has been posted before but my mum told me yesterday that for BOGOF promotions on fresh items Tesco will give you a voucher for the second item if you won't use both goods before the use by date - ideal for those who shop for just one or two people.
She said apparently Sainsburys have been doing this for some time, but I'd never heard about it.
