Or making stuff to sell (crafts & the like).....
What sold well? Was it worth it?
I have considered this many times (buying wholesale lots on ebay or making craft items) but am point off cos the only decent car boot sale near us is is a good 45 min drive away & really you need to be there by 6:30-7am. Which is bad enough but as we have tiny tots you either need to take them with you or get a sitter from silly o'clock in the morning!
But I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has done it or something similar.....

i travel over an hour or an 1.5 hours to get to some carboot sales.. and i a there at 4.30 for some of them to make sure i get a good selling place.
its hard if you have little ones, maybe they could stop over at grandparents ?
i would try and sell stuff from your house first and maybe ask around relatives etc... so that way you can research the boot sales you go to, to see if it is actually worth buying stuff to sell on...
dont forget people are after bargins.... and if you are the same or similar sort of price to the shops.... then they will buy it in the shop...Work to live= not live to work0 -
im in the process of setting up my own business, at stall in an indoor market in my town. i am buying wholesale and (hopefully) going to sell for a wee profit!
the indoor market is open 4-5 days a week and is permanent, which i like! and always has a steady stream of people.
i think i'll then move onto, large car boots/fairs and maybe do my local outdoor sunday market. the items i will be selling are handbags and all associated paraphernalia!
have you any idea 'what' you want to sell?
