I'm currently using firefox 3.5.7 and was thinking of updating to 3.6. Has anyone else used this version yet and are there any major benefits if I do an update?

Upgraded it at work. Seems a bit faster.
At home I'm waiting as there are a couple of addins that need updating to work with 3.6 (it tells you which ones before it does the upgrade so you can cancel if you want).0 -
Hi
I've been using Firefox 3.6, it's OK. It's now classed as 'stable'.
I don't think that you'll notice any major improvements but it's a good idea to upgrade.

Since updating a couple of days ago I have been having all sorts of problems with my addons ( those which were not flagged up as incompatible ) and have had to disable some.
Most annoying on this site is "autopager" which only works as long as I don't log in.0 -
The JavaScript is noticably faster.
There seemed to be a problem in 3.5.7 on Ubuntu 9.1 (Linux) that caused it to be particularly slow. I recently switched from Windows to Ubuntu and the Firefox page rendering performance went downhill dramatically. I spent ages researching how to fix it but never got anywhere. However this problem seems fixed in 3.6 and it's good again. Quite pleased I upgraded.
All my extensions seem to be OK.0 -
Thank you for all your replies. I'm always a bit apprehensive before an update, particularly as my current version works fine. What is it about..... if it ain't broken don't fix it!!! I recently installed IE8 on my desktop, and it really caused me some major problems. I had to go back to IE7, but also installed firefox. I must say, I been very impressed with it.Before doing something... do nothing0

So if you update Firefox and something goes wrong you can always fall back on Internet Explorer.Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0
