Where to borrow money against a self-house build/land half way through
Hi,
My brother is halfway through a self build and has run out of money and needs to borrow against the land/house in order to finish it. He didn't take out a mortgage to purchase land or start the build so there is a lot of equity in the house (approx £150K) and obviously once finished will be worth a lot more. However when looking online its hard to find somewhere that you can lend against land/self build?
Any advice would be great, would it just be a homeowners loan even though its not finished?

Try any building society or bank who lend on mortgages.
Put this thread on the mortgage board - you may get better advice there.0
