Boots No 7 Gift set bargain BUT..

Options
Got myself a Boots No 7 gift set containing an evening bag, nail polish and lip gloss for £4 reduced from £16. Great deal but beware if you are buying as gift to put away. Inside the bag there is a money off voucher for No 7 cosmetics which expires at the end of January 2005.

The voucher is for £5 off on a £10 spend.
This was great for me as I just went back and saved £5 on a foundation. Excellent.

  • I think you can - i've been given three now - not aiming to get them just collected them with my shopping even when I was just buying medicines at the pharmacy.
  • I must have missed that post - didn't realise they were different :(
  • I tried to use my voucher against a No7 Instant Radiance Concealer (£11.50) yesterday for which I got a voucher for 400 extra points from the Advantage Card machine. However, the assistant pointed out to me that the £5 voucher is only for skincare products and NOT cosmetics and wouldn't allow me to use it.

On another subject, and I'll try and remember to post this elsewhere, when I tried to get some points added to my Advantage Card from a former receipt I was told that since New Year they have stopped allowing people to do this. Head office allegedly decided that too many people were 'abusing' the system by picking up dropped receipts or using receipts from friends and relatives to collect points (what exactly is wrong with that I don't know!) I think basically they've realised it's costing them too much money. :o

Which voucher did you try to use. The £5 skincare voucher you get when you spend £10 or more in store is only redeemable against certain skincare brands. The £5 voucher which I found in the No7 little black bag is redeemable agains a spend of £10 or more on all No7.
  • Sorry, I didn't appreciate there were two different vouchers. It must have been the skincare one so the assistant was right in what she said but I just thought I'd point out to others that it is specifically for the creams and lotions and doesn't cover the whole range (as I was a little embarrassed at not having read it properly!)

I think though that this voucher has the code on the back that can be used against anything online.

As far as I'm aware - and it's certainly the case in Newcastle - if you haven't got your card the assistant at the till will authorise your receipt so you can get the points added on later.
