Hiya, I didn't know the CSA was set up to do this? If it was, it would seem perfectly correct to me that the CSA should be doing this. After all, if a NRP doesn't support his/her child and leaves the PWC struggling so much that they need IS, then the NRP does owe something to society via IS.

That isn't a jibe at you CSA_Help. I don't know your situation but we all know there are lots of NRP who choose to walk away from their children (financially), but I'm not sayinig you were one of them, as I don't know your situation

I hope the CSA are obligated to chase arrears for PWC who haven't benefited from IS - and just as tenaciously.

OP - (thats some screen name!)

I believe that you are doing the right thing, and when you do get arrears, it would be very nice for you to be able to open a healthly bank account for when you child needs it. Uni/college, etc is very expensive, and only just around the corner for you.

As Shell says - as to when you'll get it, how long is a piece of string. At least the process has begun. Good luck.

the government is skint and so in effect all the different times you were on IS they want money, they not really concerned with children as in these times (of claiming IS) you wouldnt of getten money anyway but gov does.
