Noooooo! It definately shouldn't have gone to the seller. It's yours, you paid for it! Not to mention DPA!
I'd ask the bank what's going on. They should apologise to you and make sure it doesn't happen again to anyone else. Are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation? :cool:0 -
You paid - it should come to you, I would be very annoyed that the bank/valuer sent this to the wrong person.......... but this might work in your favour, since the vendor has now seen the value of the property and what (if any) work needs doing, perhaps they will agree to do the work or reduce the price - goodluck.0

As a first time buyer thought it was a bit odd i will have some very strong words with the bank on monday !!!
well they down valued the property and i dont think the sellers are willing to drop the value but at least they know its not me whom is trying to pull a fast one. hope they do agree its a really nice first house with just a little bit of doing up needed. i am going to try and get the money back for the survey if it all falls through at least i wont be out of pocket0
