Cashback Sites Holiday Booking Beware

Hello, I am fairly new to cashback sites and only recently signed up to Quidco. Last week i went through Travelsupermarket.com to book up a summer holiday. The lowest price for what I wanted was with Lowcostholidays.com.
The price came up at £1530 so having found the cheapest site for my holiday I looked for any cashback sites available and Quidco was one that came up with 6 percent. Having done this I went straight to the site via Quidco and re-entered the holiday requirements exactly as i had done through Travelsupermarket. The holiday then came up at £1610 . So basically any cashback I could get would only be if I paid the higher price.
Is there away around this or is this general practice for comparison sites. thanks in advance
