How to clean a bath old style

I hope this is the correct forum for my question, but can anyone tell me how to get a newish white bath up to scratch without using fancy cleaning products,
This tub has marks that wont come off with scrubbing, They have faded but seem to ignore old fashioned elbow grease. Am trying to be a little greener and a bit more economical.
Thanks in advance.

  • I know that a friend of mine who has her own cleaning company says that all she uses for cleaning the bathroom is washing up liquid and microfibre cloths - it brings up everything.
  • we used to use vim and a cloth. Real old style
  • I used my StarDrops and bleach potion for the first time the other day with a microfibre cloth - came up lovely x

In an old book that I've got, dating back to the early 50s, it recommends using turpentine for cleaning baths.....No mention of how to get rid of the stink afterwards, though :rotfl:
