Not sure what to do next....odd chain of events at CSA

I had a good idea where the father of my child is working but didn't know his home address. I contacted the CSA and gave all the information I could about him. A few weeks later the caseworker telephoned me to say that they had established he was working where I thought and that a form had been issued to him.
Then about 2 weeks later a different person took over the case. She told me that he was not working there, that I had been told incorrect information, not to bother claiming again unless I know his home address (impossible because he's not going to want me to know that is he?!) and that the case would be closed now.
Then I got a letter from the CSA to say that the case has been closed now because I asked them not to continue with it!
Does this sound odd to anyone??! I don't want to give up really because I'm SURE he is working there. Is there anything else I can do now?

Write a letter to them. Explaining what you've written above. The treatment you received from the second case worker is unacceptable.August GC 10th - 10th : £200 / £70.61

I agree with shell. It is not your job to find out where the NRP lives! The CSA have many tools to trace the NRP's address at their disposal.
Do you think his employer may be covering up for him and lying to the CSA that he doesn't work there? Is it a small company, and could the boss be his friend?0 -
Thanks for your help
Yes, I do think that his employer may be covering for him but they apparently said he was working there but no longer does so I don't know if he panicked when he received the form and quit, or possibly is now working there still but is doing so for cash in hand, in which case there is nothing I can do, is there?
I do think I should write a complaint though because someone doesn't seem to be doing their job properly.0 -
rememeber all details, times and who you spoke too and write in a diary, all calls are recordered and you are within your rights for a copy of them under the data protection act. also look on the electoral roll for contact details for ex if he has registered they will be there. suprising gov and quango cant/wont do, maybe thers no money to be made.0
