I'm in the middle of it now, I just can't get the financial assessment done! They just give a day, not a time, and I've had to cancel it 4 times because of hospital appointments. One day I waited in all day, no-one turned up and then I got a letter saying they'd been and no-one was in. Another time I waited in all day and no-one turned up because of the weather. Anyone would think they don't want to actually spend their budget:rotfl:

I know where your coming from, we go to loads of people that, because they haven`t had their financial assessment they are getting care for free (they should be paying up to £14 an hr!) and they won`t have to pay the back pay that has built up
Then they wonder why there never any money in the pot.....

Had a lovely shower, I smell either like fruit or like the Rock Star soap. Only problem I have is that it leaves my skin a tad dry. And how do I use the massage bar?

I think our whole wedding came in at around £5k. We had dancing lessons for 6 months (clearly not the quickest learners :o), so that we could do a good first dance. It was incredibly hard work (and we only learnt a simple classic dance as neither of us had any previous experience) but worth every penny as it wowed our family and friends as we kept it secret from all but a tiny number of people (a few more guessed when we knelt in church and they saw our shoes had suede soles).

We did things like had our clothes made by a friend's mum, and had our reception at a hotel in an umm, interesting local area, in order to be able to accomodate having a wedding with all our family and friends present.

I've now decided as we are DF (well, OH has a couple of hundred pounds of overdraft he uses each month, for which I am amazon-ing and ebaying and saving), that I will save up for our anniversary in 2011 and have a party :)

  • Hi everyone

Hope you all had a good MSE weekend. Youngest DD went to a friend's birthday party yesterday. Today, while the wife took older DD's to see their uncle, me and youngest had a Shaun the Sheep DVD session. Haven't laughed so much in ages :rotfl:Actually, although DD went to bed 2 hours ago, I'm watching Shaun the Sheep as I write this :o

Any other closet Shaun fans out there? :rotfl:

    Hey carlos.

Oh, I've found the best moisturiser ever! It's one of the Botanics ones, the one with rice and honey. My skin is so soft I love it (I usually have cack winter skin but I won't now)
Feel so lovely after my shower, all relaxed and comfy

Woo, I made about £30 on ebay :) I didn't think I had that much left to sell, as I raised about £105 in the run up to Christmas. I don't know how people make hundreds doing it - they must have so much stuff. I also had three books sell on Amazon between late Dec and early Jan (still have a load listed but nothing doing) so nearly £200. That is fantastic.

Hi Carlos, sounds like a good day. I find myself still watching kids stuff after my two have gone to bed sometimes.
