Vinegar for cleaning

i keep seeing everyone say you should clean with vinegar. I was just wondering can you clean everything with it and how do you use. I was thinking some in hot water. Thanks x

I have hear a couple of capfuls in a bucket of warm water for washing the windows will really make them sparkle - also old newspaper gives them a really clean look - it's something to do with the newsprint, but I have tried it and it does work.
