Hi, claire. Oxalic acid will take out rust (it acts as a chelating agent, for those who'd like a chemistry lesson!! :rotfl: ).
I googled it and it's found in bar keeper's friend. May be worth a try on an inconspicuous bit of your fabric, to check that it doesn't make matters worse.
I've successfully removed rust stains on an enamel bath using lemon juice, too.
Make sure you don't use anything alkaline (such as bleach) as this will set a rust stain.
Best of luck, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
have you tried the usual ? soda crystals ? stardrops ? bleach etc ?
if not,try using one of the above with an old toothbrush and scrub it then wash as normal adding a scoop of crystals and a bit of stardrops to your normal powder0
