i must have put a brilo pad in with my washing i know how syupid but its stained my work uniform and wont come out ive washed it twice and i dont know what 2 do please help

    Hi, claire. Oxalic acid will take out rust (it acts as a chelating agent, for those who'd like a chemistry lesson!! :rotfl: ).

    I googled it and it's found in bar keeper's friend. May be worth a try on an inconspicuous bit of your fabric, to check that it doesn't make matters worse. :mad:

    I've successfully removed rust stains on an enamel bath using lemon juice, too.

    Make sure you don't use anything alkaline (such as bleach) as this will set a rust stain.

    have you tried the usual ? soda crystals ? stardrops ? bleach etc ?

    if not,try using one of the above with an old toothbrush and scrub it then wash as normal adding a scoop of crystals and a bit of stardrops to your normal powder
