Returning a book?

Hello,

It's my birthday today and both my son and my mum bought me the same book!! I really wanted the book, it's a hardback and I'm chuffed but don't want two...
Now, my son got his from Mr Sainsbury and still has his receipt from three days ago, would Sainsbury give me a refund do you think??

I don't see why not. They are usually very good at things like that apart from computer games and music that you could have copied and taken back

I expect so. Just go in with the receipt and explain you got two copies. They'll probably be fine.

The only problem you might have is if he paid by card. They might want to put the refund back on to the same card. As you won't have this, they may insist on putting it on to a gift card for you, rather than giving you cash. (Of course, if your brother goes with you, he can get the money back and then give you the cash himself).
