Resolution for 2010 is to shift a big chunk of my debt.
I have set myself a spending allowance (food, petrol etc..) of £200/mth which I've stuck to so far .
I'm also in the process of stopping smoking which will be good for the purse (and body) once I'm off the patches .
I'm also trying not to buy clothes as I have far too many - could do with wearing them out.
Unfortunately my debt will go up before it goes down as I have to pay off a massive vet bill over the next 2 mths, but after that I'm hoping I'll be back on track as pets are now insured.
Hoping to be debt-free by Oct 2012 according to my calculations if I'm a good girl.

Thanks! I wish I'd realised sooner how much easier it is to get into debt than get out of it. And it's all rubbishy debt as well because I have nothing to show for it.Credit card 3486.05, O/D 1 £1527.66, O/D 2 £751.43, O/D 3 £686.61 - Jan 2010

I'm sure I don't have much to show for my debt either!
Welcome to diaryland and good luck with getting debt free!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Not doing so well I'm afraid.
My debt has actually increased a bit.
I have, however, managed to pay off HUGE vet bill so vet balance is now 0. Haven't been able to pay anything else off while this was outstanding.
I'm having a meeting at work on Friday to discuss how much I could earn doing some scheduled overtime (I suspect it'll only be about £100/mth but it's better than a poke in the eye). I really want to increase credit card payments and I think the only way forward is to up my income.
I'm desperate to get rid of that credit card asap.Credit card 3486.05, O/D 1 £1527.66, O/D 2 £751.43, O/D 3 £686.61 - Jan 2010
