Page 18 of the Sun has an offer for a Free kids book for every reader.

The Sun is giving away a free kids book every day until Friday - and today you can bag the exclusive Scooby Doo tale The Case of the Glowing Alien. This book worth £2.99 is not available in the shops so don't miss your chance to help Scooby and the gang solve another mystery.

Simply tape a 50p and a 20p coin to the token shown in today's paper to cover postage to the address shown in the paper. Each day the Sun will give away a different book but you can claim all five at once by collecting 3 tokens and sending them along with the coupon in Thursdays paper plus £2.95 to cover postage. You will also receive an extra character item, making a great pack worth more than £20. The other fab books in our giveaway feature Tractor Tom, Noddy, Wallace and Gromit and Spider Man. PLUS you can join the Scooby Doo club for £9.99 saving £3 on membership costs and get a welcome pack like the one shown in the paper. See scoobydoofan-club.co.uk or call 0845 130 7778 (local rate), quoting the coupon code "sun" to get your £3 discount.

Book offer subject to availability - allow 28 days for delivery, closing date
    31st July 2006.

Hope that helps - sorry about the essay !! :D

I am not sure either - but because I wanted to add the Sun book info I started this one. Perhaps a Board Guide could advise why the first one was closed ?

    Many thanks Welshy x

As far as I know the newspaper coupon board has never been closed before - could it have been closed by accident?

Yes Rambler agree - the newspaper thread has been going since 2005 and has never been closed before - possibly a click too many by a BG.

Just wanted to say a big thankyou to everybody on this thread. Very stupidly I have been throwing vouchers away thinking I don't buy that so can't use the voucher. Anyway today I got £7.14 off a £33 shop in Tesco's. A real saving.
Will try and post when we get a paper

I had a wonderful shop assistant in Asda today. As she scanned my domestos she noticed a coupon on it and said, you will want this scanned too. I was a bit hesitant as I had my vouchers which expire this month as we are off on holiday soon. Oh depends on when it expires I said as I have some more here and as you are only allowed 10%.....since when was her reply!!! and then she said remember and pick up an Asda magazine as they have coupons too and you dont need to buy the product!!! Scunnered though as I should have taken note of her name for when OH goes next as he has been refused several times recently and has become disheartened!

I was the same, I didn't understand why people were talking about this funny magazines... until now I understand... I normally manage to get the times twice at work, once my dh and once my sil. So without paying a penny I get 4 x 1.99 not bad.
Thank all of you who direct us on the right path. Especially Welshy... Rules ok!
