    I'd have thought that the pay freeze is still ongoing, whereas there is at least the possibility of some purse strings loosening by the time the 2nd half of the year arrives?
    It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

    We are not pay freezing next financial year, last year was just precautionary. If companies are still making profits now cant see there being much to back them up for freezing pay.

    I think pay increase will be low, but if you are due one it is better to have one when inflation is high as most are in some way index linked.
