I got one, but only because I was eagle-eyed and eagle-eared (no, not a phrase, but it's the only appropriate one here) and saw the till-operator at another checkout giving it out to a customer and saying why. I made sure I asked!!

They are so difficult to open! Took a lot of effort and pressing and bashing to unstiffen it. Perhaps the reason they were giving them away?! A fault batch they have to get rid of... Still useful if you're insanely strong
