DriPak washing soda etc

Hi,

As you can see I'm new so please excuse me if I'm teaching my grandmother to suck eggs here :o but I did an internet search about washing soda after people recommended it for cleaning out my washing machine and I found a really helpful link http://www.dripak.co.uk/sodacrystals.htm

It gives loads of uses for washing soda, borax etc and even says you can substitute 1tbsp borax and 1tbsp bicarb for the detergent in your dishwasher.
Hope it's helpful.

Talitha

If I am right though, their bicarb works out dearer than the tubs you get in supermarkets. I did buy my borax from them as I could not get it anywhere - it is now in Boots. I shall have a good look at the cleaning tips though -thanks

I found borax and bicarb - 500g packs - in Wilko's the other day; I think 39p each.

Bicarb is also cheap in any local Chinese supermarket, I pay £2-3 for a 3kg bag.

The dripak website isn't a cheap way to buy - esp once you've added in p & p . But the website is a good source of info for HM cleaning solutions!
