he is going br in feb but has just sold his business for a lot of money and has told me " ive spent the lot so you wont get a penny haha " well i doubt he will declare this money on his br forms as the idiot is doing them online as ive sneaked and looked at it :rotfl: he hasnt even put down his business and says he spent his debts on gambling when i no for a fact he hasnt.

anyway my question is i no what he is doing is fraud but will the or ever find out and make his br hard also will it be linked to me being his wife stopping me getting ED or anything

many thanks xx

  • Don't worry, if he says he gambled it his case will go for further investigation and it will all be unravelled. This shouldn't reflect on you at all and if you feel so inclined, you could always squeal on him.
  • i did think about squeeling on him he deserves it:mad: i just hope he gets caught out.

since he left in august the amount of loans he had which i never knew about total a whopping £50,000 what he spent it on i have no idea as there is nothing to show for it so putting gambling looks like a good idea even though he never went anywhere to gamble  oh well what goes around comes around as they say
  • People do put gambling down thinking it's a good cover up but gambling when insolvent is misconduct and it's a known cover up ploy. Gambling is a red flag and unless it's obviously only small sums it immediately goes to further investigation.
  • thanks again

according to his forms he has spent £20,000 gambling  he will get rumbled

people think that they will just put gambling and that the OR won't look into it. This couldn't be further from the truth a whole process will start to account for every £ that is missing, They will get all online gambling statements, all bank statements etc

    Was he a limited company

  • i have just found out his company was never registered as a business, cant believe i was the stupid trusting wife, glad he has gone now he is his g/f problem now haha

i did put on my br that the reason we had the house repo'd was because he had gave up his job to start a business so my or knows about it all i can say is my br forms are 110% truefull so i have nothing to worry about unlike him
