I was going for a BT set on withandwithoutwires.com - I cant link the exact page, but the BT bundle at 79.99 reduced from 109.99 was about the best I found ( and no P&P) BT Voyager 2110 and Voyager 1065 Laptop Adapter Bundle
    Online Price: £79.99
    Normal Price: £109.98

You get 5% back with quidco too :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

We use the netgear dg484g but theres a new version now. Also use the netgear pci wireless card and a Belkin usb2 wireless pen drive from Argos.
  • I picked up a very nice Linksys WRT54GS for £43.98 (including delivery and vat) from amazon - works amazingly on my 8Mb NTL line. The reviews say it's a really good wireless router to use as well (https://www.cable-forums.co.uk)

Most wireless cards are pretty decent, but I'm gonna stick to Linksys from now on as they seem pretty reliable. I've only ever heard horror stories from Netgear products.

Assuming you're on ADSL your best bet is an ADSL Modem Router. The 3com from DABS is currently unbeatable value. It's an excellent router with great reviews.

You can get it for around £45 and that price also includes a USB Wi-Fi adaptor that you can use on a laptop or desktop PC.

I doubt if you will get anyone to give you such a guarantee as every property is different. Some walls have a foil lining on the plasterboard which attenuates the signal etc. but generally it will reach upstairs with no problems.

Unless you live in a 5 storey house or have 12-inch thick concrete walls or floors lined with steel I think any 54Mb wirelss router will work just fine.
I any event you shoudl be able to return anything bought over th einternet under teh distance selling regulations.
