Hi all,
Just a quick question.
I went BR in Aug '09 and was told an NT code would be applied which has not yet happened.
Im just wondering, if the NT code isnt applied by April will it NEVER be applied or can they just wait until April has passed and then apply it??
Effectively starting it in the new tax year.
Any ideas???:D

I am no expert but the way I understand it - it has to be applied in the year that the bankruptcy occurs so answer no after 5th April it won't be applied0

As the others have said, if not applied by April, it should never be applied.Hi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -
Hi all,
Thanks for your replies, I only asked because I spoke to a woman at Moonbeever yesterday and we discussed the NT code.
The impression I was left with was that the NT code could be put on hold until after 5th April after which it could then be applied.
I didnt question her on it because I was in work and didnt have the time.0
