Stuck with NR but want additional borrowing - can i get a 2nd mortgage?

Husband & I are 3yrs 4m into a 7-yr fixed with Northern Rock. Want to raise some funds for an extension & plan HAD BEEN to take out additional borrowing on our NR mortgage. But have now been put into NR (Asset Management) so NR no longer offer additional borrowing to these customers. Current LTV approx. 55%, good credit history, etc. Will we be able to take out 2nd mortgage with different lender to fund our extension? Who are these lenders? If not, what is best borrowing option in terms of lower interest rates, etc? Thanks!

Your only option is to pay the ERC and to go elsewhere for a remortgage. If you're going to get a loan, you could post on the Loans section of the forums.0
