I was using my computer about 5 minutes ago and it came up on screen saying that my computer was affected by Trojans etc. It then started uploading something called "personal security" despite me not agreeing to it. It then came up listing 42 virus threats. I have AVG ant virus which says computer running fine. I tried to remove the personal security thing but it wont let me. It started running again after I rebooted so I stopped it but as I cant remove the program I dont know if my machine was already infected or whether its this program thats the problem. Can anyone help me?? I havent backed up any of my files and about to try and use system restore but as Im clueless about computers Im worried I do something wrong......

download spybot, search google, its free. give it a scan, when done your fine.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0 -
You definitely have a virus, and the "personal security" is part of it - trying to dupe you into paying to get rid of it. Don't try to uninstall, it won't.
Download MalwareBytes, install, update, quick scan, fix what it finds, and post the log here. You may need to do this in Safe Mode with Networking (F8 on boot) if the virus blocks or redirects you.0 -
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
reboot
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log):idea:0 -

Hi, I downloaded that Malware thing and it had a pop up blocker so i clicked download file then ran it and then nothing happened and its still on the same screen as it was before.....I dont know how to go into safe mode (unless the computer crashes and it asks me) Sorry for being annoying.
