That's because the pure juice is so bitter - it needs sugar to make it drinkable. That probably negates the health benefits of it though.

The milkman dropped off an advertising leaflet the other day, and one of the products on offer was juices of various kinds. It explicitly said next to the cranberry one that it did not count towards your 'five a day'.

I'd love to be able to buy pure 100% pomegranate juice because of its health benefits and also because I love fresh pomegranate.

I have only found Pomegranate Juice Drink so far - i.e the annoying stuff that is 15% concentrate and the rest water!

I am looking for pure Pomegranate Juice and have not been able to find it in any supermarket so far!

It's amazing because in the USA they have this stuff:

I would dearly like to find something similar in the UK.

So if you know where I can find some I would be very grateful indeed.

    Thanks!

I just went on the website above.....thats the stuff that i managed to buy from tesco's. I recognise the shape of the bottle!

    £3 for half a litre!

Buy a juicer and a bag of pomegranates. 100% juice and as fresh as your greengrocer will allow! I have one of these juicers below and it works a treat. (Tip, buy a cheap toothbrush to clean the metal filter bit.) It will happily separate the pips from the juice for you.

M&S sell Fruit in a Bottle. They have a pomegranate one which costs £2.99/£3.09 for 500ml. Expensive but very popular. Only available in some stores though.
