Readers Digest..Is it a con ?

Sorry if this is not the correct place to post ???

Looking for advice....for the best part of a year i have been receiving info from the Readers Digest. I have had stuff like this before from them...the usual you could win up to £250000 blah blah blah......they send you 1 or 2 more envelopes to Reply URGENTLY for priority whilst ordering a new book etc....you could also win a car,added on bonuses etc......

But this time its different...I did order a book...1 i wanted. And i've received mail from them that i am down to the final x amount in for the big prize....99% of the population seemingly do not get this far ??? ( call me a doubter lol) now i've received info that the BIG draw is early Feb and i am in it.and would i want to come to London if i won to be presented with the cheque, picked up by car etc...5* hotel for me and one other, presentation. This has been the 3 lot of info i've received NOW stating i am deffo in the draw for the BIG prize with my 6 numbers.

Can anyone shed light on this or is just more of a con ??? Thanks guys :T

Not a con i know 2 people who won:

My dad's friend from work won £250,00
My aunty won £25,000

Thank you for your reply....it just seems really different this time than before. More personal and letters from the people who run/own Readers Digest stating i am through to the next round as such...and now the final which will be drawn 12/02/10....even a wee £100 would be fab....never really win anything lol.

I always thought it was a con as I received those you could win £250,000 or whatever letters for years and never won anything at all.

Hi....yes i've responded to them....so i suppose i will find out by mid Feb if i have won anything ???? not holding my breath though.

You never know..maybe luck is on my side this time ?

I get sucked in by them every time you might get a fiver so might I but you never know. It's a wind up when they have a book I like the look off & can't afford it.
