Pay cut and forced into self employment. Please advise.

    Agree with the other posters it's important that your OH takes advice asap and doesn't not sign anything until he does.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

    He definitely should NOT go for being pressurised into self-employment.

    The basic reason is that he probably/definitely wouldnt get benefits due if he got made redundant.

    The way this firm is going - he may very well need those benefits that employees are entitled to have from the DWP (not to mention the redundancy payout due from the employer).

    Just ask yourself one basic question "Would the employer be proposing this idea if it was to their detriment?". Answer "obviously not - then clearly it IS to the employees' detriment". Conclusion = dont do it.
