Afternoon everyone, I miss the smileys too.

............and tesco finance appear to have lost £1000 of my money:eek:

Just been on the phone as I opened an internet saver account with £1000 to get 1000 bonus clubcard points the cheque cleared that I sent in with my application but as yet I have not received my account details.

Spoken to them today and they are "trying to find out what has happened" I am not entirely filled with confidence by that statement.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

I know Beanie, I'll lose the £200 bonus, and have to pay the £75 excess, and lose any possibility of a no claims bonus if I lose my DLA and have to buy my own car again. All because of some jealous sod who can't understand that I'd rather have their working body than a new car.

Don't worry Lou, there will be a clear audit trail of where the money had come from and gone to. Chances are the account is open and the money is sitting in it, you just haven't received the details yet (postal system has not been the most reliable of late from comments I've been hearing at work), but even if not, it will either be in a suspense account, in which case they will trace it and apply it to your account, OR there's a possibility they have paid it into someone elses account, but even as a worst case scenario, if that person has run off with your money, the bank will be at fault as they made the error and they will have to reimburse you. The fact the cheque has debited your account proves it arrived safely with them.
