    Skipton offered a 9 month bond in May last year with an APR of 3.95% so it matures next month. It will be interesting to see what they offer when the bond matures. I expect to be putting my money elsewhere and I doubt I'll be the only one.

    Currently 5% if you want to fix to 2015.

  • Call me eccentric, but I think the BoE and Morgan Stanley have vastly more expertise, experience and credibility than a bunch of armchair economists on MSE.

    True, but it doesn't mean their press releases reflect what they actually think! They have their own agendas.

    Some of the banks have never lowered their SVRs much anyway. Standard Life has never gone below 5.34%.
