Hi All,

Some advise is needed...

My partner and I are looking to purchase our first house, in the next couple of months.

• We will have over a 15% deposit.
• We are both currently employed.
• I am currently in a permanent position (3years) and my partner is a contractor (whose current contract is due to expire in September)
• No outstanding debts
  

The possible problem... She has been a contractor for the last couple of years and had continual employment. (Been in the current position for a year and a half)

Will this pose a problem when applying for a mortgage?

I am soon to organise a meeting with a mortgage adviser, so just really looking for an insight into what to expect.

As long as the contract has been renewed at least once, then there are lenders that will help.

Get a good whole of market adviser to source a lender for you.
