LBM #2..this time with OH on board!!

Ok...so after pondering whether I should start ANOTHER diary thread (this will be number 2 for me!!) I have decided I will!
I have two main reasons for this, these are:-
1) As the title says...i had LBM number 2 today, and I also have OH on
board this time after catching him checking out my spreadsheet....he
has just finished counting the loose change up with me
2) And secondly, I was hiding a little more debt than I had admitted to in
diary one.
The link to the old...rather dull diary is here
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1757973
So here is my new, honest debt free diary!
The debt stands at £41631.32!!
During our first year of tackling the debts we managed to pay off £6997.81. Due to other things going on financially this was a good start and only accounts for April onwards. This year we hope to smash that figure!!
Im finding it hard putting WE rather than I...as its been me for so long...although the debt is an accumulation of both mine and OH's debt he has never been too interested in the bills and figures. Its making me smile lots that tonight he seems a changed person!! As many people probably are aware the finances can put a big strain on a relationship so we are both now committed to paying it off ASAP so our money can be spent on us having a fab time together. The bills can sometimes stress me out so to share the load with him will be much better for my sanity.
So that is my little intro.....let the fun begin!!

Morning all.
Still full of positive vibes here!!
We have decided our main focus is to clear the overdraft. Although this is not the highest APR it haunts me that it is payable on demand and We would love to be living without its use. We are at the stage now where we are living within our means so its time to get out of it. Its going to a hard one but we are determined to do it! Taking the advice from a response in another thread we are going to use willpower rather than asking for a decrease each time we pay a lump sum into it. So i have set up the savings account on the side and will pay money in bit by bit to reduce it....wish us luck!! Will update my sig so it shows the debt we are paying off at the moment.
So today my aim is to have a NSD...should be manageable as we have everything we need in the house.
I have done my daily scratchcard on mailbingo so thats another 10p my way :rotfl:Can anyone suggest any others I maybe could do?
And I have transferred £10.62 over to the "pay off O/D fund".
Need to do some job hunting today aswell.
We shall see how the rest of the day pans out from here!
Have a wonderful day all!!

Hi Debt.b.gone
Just wanted to wish you good luck on your new adventure, it great to see the positivity coming through I had a mini meltdown earlier in the week when i started my diary and you have given me a boast.
Good Luck

Ah thanks Duckie!! Think its only natural to have a meltdown....i also had a really bad week last week but am feeling much better this week about it all and ready for the battle! I have also bought a pen and pad so am keeping a written diary aswell...i know it probably seems daft using this and a normal diary but its definitely an extra motivation.
Good luck to you too!

Morning!!
Good news.....Lloyds accepted 6 months 0% transfer of the virgin card!! So Virgin card gone!!! will wait until they apply their interest and pay that off before CLOSING!!:j
Recieved £3.00 from Greenmet so have added that to the pay of O/D fund.
OH recieved weekly wage with overtime so transferred overtime into the pay of O/D fund also!!
Goals for today:-
- Pay the £29.32 charged for balance transfer off the lloyds card to avoid
the interest on it.:A
- Other than the above....make today a NSD.
Also get other little bits and bobs around the house but will not bore you with those details.

Quickly done!! £30.00 paid to the lloyds card to cover the transfer fee!! I am a good girl!! :A0
