freebies in magazines

thought it might be an idea to have a thread about freebies in magazines on the shelf. especially at this time of year there are loads of mags with free makeup, bags, flip flops, tops etc.
it would be great if anyone has bought or sees a magazine with good freebies could post on this thread so others could benefit.
i noticed that a few bridal magazines had some great feebies, as do some of the teen mags.

Elle had really nice GOLD/BRONZE sandals which can still be found on supermarket shelves alythough it's been around for a couple of weeks. i posted it somewhere.
Free sarong with Harpers. I think or maybe Vogue. One of the quality mags anyway.
Any large supermarket has them all right now. There's various styles of free flip flops, several beach bags including funky fish in one of the teen mags, a toiletries bag with matching make up bag, a black bikini, a couple with vests, tank tops, various paperbacks including a Marion Keyes.
Actually you could don the bikini, slip your vest top over it , drape the sarong around your hips. shuffle into your flip flops , pop your book into your beach bag and toddle off to the beach. Lots of free lipgloss, nail varnish and other bits in the teen mags to slather on as you sun yourself too.Living on Earth can be expensive, but it does include an annual free trip around the Sun.0 -

Avoid offers from the Hair Group like the Plague, i applied for one through Sainsburys Magazine and it was for a free cut and blow dry upto 30th June and i never heard anything and neither did my sister. I am going to tackle Sainsburys about it even though i know its not their fault but might compensate me for the Mag which i only bought for the offer0 -
I've had two free haircuts from The Hair Group. They pass your details onto salons and then it is up to the salon to contact you. If there are only a couple of participating salons in your area and lots of people apply then you wont get an appointment as it is not cost effective for them to do nothing but free cuts.
I live in London where there are lots of salons offering this promotion0 -
The free bikini I got was reversible, black one side, green the other.
I got a naff beach bag from some magazine today, blue with white flowers.0 -
I sent off for a Hair Group deal last year. I was very wary having read all the bad posts, but when I hadn't been contacted within the allotted time, I rang them. They said they had passed on the details and the salon should have contacted me, but because they hadn't done they gave me their name and number so I could call direct.
A quick call and I had my appointment booked. So not necessarily straightforward but be vigilant and you should get there in the end hopefully.0
